A Game of Cat and Gerbil

M.M. M.M

I recently hosted a murder mystery party with some of my friends and it was quite a hoot! Me and Melissa wrote out a bunch of different backstories for all of our guests, made props and plot twists and a million other cool things for the night :))
It was 1920's themed, and everyone dressed up (it was very intimidating our friends are way too cool).
As for what happened that fateful night, I shall do my best to relay the last hurrah of friends Mallory Meriones and Mary Musculus.
Headstrong journalist Mary Musculus (Pictured Left), had been hot on the tail of some very dangerous individuals dotted all along the many paths of high society. Next on her hit list was the stink emanating from the cheese industry, which unbeknownst to her, ended up being her biggest case yet!

All clues lead to the enterprising cheese mogul, Roan Rodentia, who had been hastily avoiding any and all call for interview for months. Eventually, Mary took matters into her own hands, and tracked down Roan to her country manor... But shock, horror! for when she peeked through the window... she saw Roan turn into a pile of rats!

She hurried away down the garden gates, but didn't make it out in time to avoid Roan's multiple beady eyes following her silhouette, which quickly tip toed away into the darkness.

Back home, Mary quickly set up a plan with her friend to unveil the identity of this lethal fraudster(s). Using Mallories' high status and connections as a wealthy heiress, they planned a party at which they would reveal the true identity of Roan Rodentia, but just as they had sent off the invitations- The rats fought back!
Mary was dead. Strangled. Or was she? Looking down at her work, Roan saw the truth- She got the wrong woman! The body of Mallory Meriones lay in the dim candle light, which flickered in an accusatory manner.
But before she could flee the scene of the crime, Mary came rushing in! and with a 'SQUEEE!' of mixed fear, confusion and embarrassment, Roan killed again.

But with the party now starting in mere moments, Roan would have to try to blend in with the rest of the crowd if she should hope to get her head out from under the mouse trap!

Everything went pretty smoothly for our first time hosting something like this, and I'd really love to make this a recurring event-style :)

A flower that follows

A flower that follows
bends not to its own will,
it seeks the sun from it's seeding.

Ripping through the soil,
forehead slick with mud
it will claw to face its mother-sun

and once touched by a hazy halogen glow
start breathing.

Erin has a Blog??

This little corner of the internet is where I will be dwelling until further notice.

I think I'll be using this as a space to scream into the void about silly things I find interesting and post a picture every now and then, but realistically there's never going to be any kind of regularly scheduled posts. Basically this is just like a regular Instagram account but significantly more difficult for everyone involved and I can pretend no one can see it,

Feel free to poke your head in and have a look around!

(this is where I post from btw)
